The loveliest monastery cellar in Vienna offers the opportunity, combined with a speciality in the restaurant - for a reception or farewell dinner - to surprise your guests by visiting the two museums which belong to the restaurant - the "Emperor Franz Joseph Hat Museum" and the "Imperial and Royal Wine Treasure Vault" - with a short voyage of discovery into the famous imperial era of Austria, of His Majesty Franz Joseph I and His wife "Sisi".
Guests experience the spirit and nobility of the "good old times" of Vienna during the so-called "Old Viennese Hat Parade" in particular - a fascinating guided tour - during which guests enact a convivial "Cercle diplomatique" by participating in this "hat & wine parade" and entertaining wine tasting and delicious canapés, and their palates and hearts and minds savour the "irresistible" Viennese charm of the 19th century at the same time.
Dinner & event packages are offered with various arrangements and price categories and are at reduced prices for packages for parties of 20 to 300. Individual arrangements for groups of fewer than 20 may be made and must be arranged separately.

The Imperial and Royal Restaurant, which specialises in functions, also allows you to surprise your guests, with individual arrangements if required, for invitations for smaller-scale celebrations and business lunches or dinners while still receiving the same VIP treatment as for our big events.

On request, Deutschmeister Schützenkorps receives the event guests of place at the entrance of the restaurant with salute and sounding game and the arrival an imposing cannon on the Josefstadt shot.
A reception on the square by the Piarist Church, with welcome drinks and appetisers as a prelude to a concert in the baroque basilica followed by dinner in the Piaristenkeller Restaurant. Even Mozart, Haydn, Schubert and Bruckner have himself played in this House and premiered major works and Anton Bruckner completed his organ examination in this basilica.
